Description:

Shavuot (Weeks; the plural of the Hebrew word for seven) marks the conclusion of the period of seven weeks that follows Pesaḥ. Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah to the Israelites and the completion of God's purpose to create a special people. It is celebrated for two days in the diaspora and for one day in Israel and among Reform Jews.

Accommodation for Jewish Reform: eve + first day (last or second day is considered a working day by Reform observers). Accommodation for Jewish Orthodox: non-working beginning eve + first and second (last) day.
