“How do you repay someone for saving your life?”

It’s a pretty hard question when you really think about it. It is a question that I live with every day, and because of this event I am one step closer to getting my answer. In July of 2009, Dr. Pokrupa of KHSC removed a meningioma brain tumor saving my life. I am one among thousands, that the neurosurgery team saves on a yearly basis - yet rarely do we say, “thank you”. The Chase a Dream – Neuro race weekend is designed for all participants to complete 1 of 4 distances to show their appreciation and support to the group of surgeons who have impacted our lives. In 2016, the first Neuro race weekend donated $26,533.12 to the neurosurgery department which will help fund research needed to save lives in our future. This year we are offering a 2K, 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon, plus a pasta dinner the night before. Come out and join us, you don't have to be an elite runner to participate.
