Religion: Islam. Ramaḍān is the month of fasting (ending with Eid Al Fitr on June 25) during which physically able Muslims do not eat or drink from the first sign of dawn until sunset. It is a time of self-examination and religious devotion. An observant would not be expected to refrain from work; however special consideration for worship may be rquested. Observance begins at sunset of the previous day. The date is based on lunar observations in North America.
