Description:

“The Gender Revolution: Insights for Leadership, Business and the Economy”

Today, the general consensus is that gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.  Many also agree that while progress has been made since the 1960’s, change continues to be too slow.

In 2014, the Global Gender Gap Report issued by the World Economic Forum (WEF) cautiously predicted that the world would reach gender parity by 2095.  However, in 2018, that forecast changed for the worse with the gender gap anticipated to now close as late as 2133. That’s 117 years from now, multiple generations away.  Other reports show that the number of women in STEM is decreasing rather than increasing. The lack of gender-led approaches to healthcare means costs are increasing. Many are asking why has the situation worsened? And what can be done about it?

Not surprisingly, governments, companies, NGO’s and other organizations around the world are stepping up their efforts to create a gender just world. We are experiencing a gender revolution.

This year’s Bootcamp will consist of a dynamic mix of guest speakers and hands-on teamwork. You will work in teams to develop solutions to three key challenges faced by Parker P. Consulting, a for-profit consultation arm of White Ribbon, plus pitch these solutions for consideration by our judges and Parker P. Consulting representatives.  Best solutions will earn recognition awards.
