This year, the Union Gallery’s annual silent auction theme is REIMAGINED.

Artists were asked to use creative interpretation and exploration to convey expressions of contemporary artistic practice while being inspired by art history. Participants were encouraged to reimagine art historical genres, themes, scenes, or styles through their own contemporary lens on provided 8×10 inch canvases. These canvasses are then put on display for bidding by the community.

The works will be available for bidding from October 15-November 25th, 2016 in the display case located just outside the gallery in Stauffer Library. The artists have utilized their canvasses in unique ways, from a painting surface to a frame or structure for montage, collage, photography or mixed media work.
