(Day of Atonement) is the year's holiest day and a day of fasting. To re-establish oneness with God, Jews ask forgiveness and forgive others. Then can they confess their sins and ask God's forgiveness. Religious accommodation may be required for this observance/holy day. Suspension of work/classes may be requested by observant. Accommodation for both Reform and Orthodox: beginning on the eve of Yom Kippur + observed day: non-working.
