What are the Fees?

There are fees you and your family members have to pay to apply for Permanent Residence. Calculate the fees on the CIC web site.

Note: The fees for the Permanent Resident application are paid in two stages:

1)     The  Application  for Visa Fee ($550) – this one you send with your application to Buffalo.

2)     The Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), $490 – this one is requested by the visa-issuing office just before they send the final documentation.

Medical exams:

If taken in Kingston, medical exams cost approximately $200 per person, plus $60 lab fees. You must see a physician on Canada's list of Designated Medical Practitioners.
