Becoming a Canadian citizen
To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, you must be at least 18 years old, have lived in Canada for at least three years in the past four years, and be a Permanent Resident.
Application forms for Canadian citizenship are available on the Citizenship and Immigration web site.
Children can also become Canadian citizens, there are special rules and exemptions for them.
