Administrative Coordinator

The Administrative Coordinator:

• is the first point of contact at the of Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre (FDASC) and therefore is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming environment;
• provides administrative support for the staff and students of FDASC; the Aboriginal Council of Queen's University (ACQU) and the Queen's Native Students Association (QNSA);
• provides assistance in the maintenance of the FDASC library by signing books in and out and assisting with searches;
• manages the weekly Four Sisters Feast and the Good Food Box program;
• administers FDASC department accounts.

Our Administrative Coordinator is Mary Wales

Mary joined the team at Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre January 2, 2012. Previously she worked in the Department of Physiology at Queen’s University for six years as the Graduate Assistant. In June 2011 Physiology was amalgamated along with four other departments into the new Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences (DBMS). In the DBMS, she was Program Assistant for Physiology and Microbiology & Immunology. Mary received her Administrative Professional and her Communication Certificates at Queen’s University in 2009.

Mary is Turtle Clan and grew up on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory (TMT). She retains strong ties with TMT and remains an active member and past chair of the Native Women’s Association.

For fun, Mary dabbles in making jewellery and greeting cards.
