Are you nervous about first year? We can help!

Every Fall, we invite our students to enroll in a transition program called Q Success . This program will help you develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to support your personal and academic success here at Queen’s!

The Q Success program:

• will help you to better understand your professors’ expectations;
• builds on your strengths and develop your passion to learn;
• teaches you to manage your time to study, have fun and experience all that Queen’s has to offer;
• allows you to meet new people and build confidence in your new school and home!

You also have the choice of receiving an upper year student as a Mentor for six weeks to help you in your transition to university.

Not a first year student but still interested in acquiring or building various learning skills?  Any Aboriginal student is welcome to join this program and improve on their self-management skills.  These include organization, time-tables, time-management, writing, mental health balance (understanding, relaxation techniques and stress management), healthy living (exercise, nutrition, sleep habits), how to master study skills, and exam prep.
