Guide to Departmental Facilities

Welcome to Film and Media. This guide explains our facilities and how to use them.  For other questions please contact your instructor or the Film and Media Departmental office (613-533-2178).

Equipment is signed out in Room 117, according to guidelines set out in film production courses.  Fobs may also be obtained here at the beginning of the school year.  

All production students must pre-register for equipment loans in the Shop at the start of the semester.  The Shop offers a variety of basic and advanced equipment and technical workshops throughout the year.  Keep an eye on our Facebook pages for details at:

The Shop is also where students can purchase a Film 250 hard drive kit, and other production supplies, and get assistance with Edit Suite bookings.


Main Office:

The Departmental Office can help with room bookings, general information and sign out of DVDs and key fobs. 

Videotapes and DVD's are available to upper-year students for course related viewing. You can search the Film Archive database and sign out tapes or DVD's to watch in one of our screening rooms.

NOTE: VIDEOTAPES AND DVD’S ARE FOR STUDY PURPOSES ONLY AND MUST NOT BE COPIED OR TAKEN OUTSIDE THE ISABEL.
