Responsibilities
The Department of Investment Services is the University's contact with various investment managers who manage the assets of:
- the Queen's Pension Plan (QPP)
- the University's Pooled Endowment Fund (PEF)
- the Pooled Investment Fund (PIF)
At February 28, 2013, total assets under management amounted to approximately $2.3 billion:
- market values were $1,478 million (QPP)
- $699 million (PEF)
- and $152 million (PIF)
The responsibilities of the Department of Investment Services include:
- monitoring managers to ensure they follow investment guidelines;
- measuring investment performance against objectives; and
- recommending changes in manager structure when appropriate.
