Training PeopleSoft Modules

Prior to receiving access to any of the following PeopleSoft applications, users must first attend training. Before registering for any of the following training modules, please ensure a PeopleSoft Security Access Request form has been completed and authorized by your Business Officer and forwarded to Financial Services.

PeopleSoft Journal Entry  Register

Learn the basics for why and when you would create a journal entry.  Find out why choosing the correct ChartField matters. Understand the requirements for facilitating the GL workflow approval and documentation compliance process. In this instructor-led workshop, you will have an opportunity to access the PeopleSoft Journal Entry application and learn how to create, edit, copy, submit, and delete a journal.

PeopleSoft Purchase Requisition  Register 

The PeopleSoft Purchase Requisition module will demonstrate the creation and submission of Purchase Requisitions. Along with step-by-step order submission instructions, the session includes discussions and views of the P2P (Procure to Pay) process and valuable information on Procurement resources (useful forms, contacts, website links, etc.). PeopleSoft Statement of Operations  Register

Gain confidence in accessing and reading your departmental monthly Statement of Operations report. This report is specific to Operating, Non-Credit, Ancillary, and expendable Trust funds. In this instructor-led workshop, you will have an opportunity to access the PeopleSoft Statement of Operations application and run a report applicable to your Department ID. Note - this session does not apply to the Research Statement of Operations which is a unique report specific to research projects.

PeopleSoft Query Viewer  Register

If you are responsible for monitoring financial transactions for your department and have access to the PeopleSoft GL Inquiry role, then Query Viewer is for you. Learn what public queries will assist with your monthly Statement of Operations reconciliation process and discover what queries will help answer questions that arise on a daily basis. In this workshop you will have an opportunity to access the PeopleSoft Query Viewer application and run queries that are applicable to your Department ID(s). It is recommended that users have a basic introductory level of Excel.
