A Departmental Administrator (DA) whose administrative role includes monitoring and reconciling all departmental funds is eligible to request system access to the PeopleSoft GL Inquiry role. This role includes access to the department’s Statement of Operations report and all departmental financial data through the use of PeopleSoft Query Viewer. First time users are required to register to attend both the PeopleSoft Statement of Operations and the PeopleSoft Query Viewer training workshops offered by Financial Services.
A Research Administrator (RA) whose Department ID reports to the Office of V.P. (Research) is eligible to request access to the PeopleSoft GL Inquiry role. This role includes the use of Query Viewer. The GL Inquiry role is secured at the Department ID level (rather than by Principal Investigator or Project ID) thus the reason only departments who report to the Office of V.P. (Research) are permitted this access.
