PeopleSoft is the integrated software package that provides the business applications used to assist in the day-to-day execution and operations of business processes at Queen’s. Specific applications such as Financials, Student and Human Resources, interact with others to offer effective and efficient means of working and reporting.
Queen’s Portal My.QueensU/SOLUS is the gateway or main entry point on the Queen’s Front Page that facilitates various applications used by Queen’s faculty, staff and students.
What does this mean for a Finance system user? The ‘Research Statement of Operations’ report is the one financial report that is accessed by logging in to the Queen’s portal My.QueensU/SOLUS. The report does not require access to PeopleSoft. All other processes used for producing journal entries, data analysis and financial reporting will require a user to have access to PeopleSoft. A person’s administrative role will determine what system access they are eligible to request.
