Queen's has a history of prudent spending on administration.
As the following chart shows, administrative expenditures at Queen's (as a percentage of total operating expenditures) are low compared to our peers.

However, further efficiencies must and will be sought over the next three years.
At the same time, some short term investments are needed to help us manage long term with fewer resources. That's why Queen's is replacing its administrative systems (the QUASR project). Our current financial, HR and student registration software systems are completely out of date. Modernizing the systems will improve service delivery and help Queen's realize its academic mission. The goal is to keep costs low while maintaining a high level of service in support of our academic mission.
