The 2010 provincial Public Sector Salary Disclosure would suggest the Principal's pay rose significantly from the year before. How is that possible given the university's financial situation?
The Principal began at Queen's in July 2009 so the province's 2009 Public Sector Salary Disclosure covered his time at Queen's for the six months of that year that he was employed at the university.
The 2010 disclosure reflects a full year's compensation.
The Principal took a 2 per cent pay cut to his base salary as of January 2010 that continues in 2011 in light of the university's financial situation.
