Welcome to a new school year!

The mission of the Club Francophone at Queen's University is to promote the French language and culture around campus. This shall be done through French oriented events and activities that will occur on and off campus. This will allow you an opportunity to meet other French-speaking students and perhaps even brush up on your French vocabulary!

Therefore, if you enjoy watching French films, listening to music, and eating French/Québécois food then this is a great occasion for you to join our club. We hope that at the end of the school year that we have allowed you to experience the French culture.

Hope to see you at one of our events soon!

1. Weekly Discussion

For the sake of simplicity, we host Discussion Groups every week. The discussions will take place on and off campus and are a great opportunity to practice your oral French skills and meet new people interested in French language and culture!

Topic-Specific Discussions:

Occasionally we host topic-specific discussions. These topics may range from themes of current politics to economics and business to art history. Also, if you are interested in preparing a discussion on a topic of your choice and presenting it to the group, send us an email and we will set it up for you!

2. High School Outreach

We have recently established a tutoring program with the KCVI high school. French Club members will come into the school over lunchtime to help students with their French! This is a unique volunteering opportunity, for which more details will be provided to you directly by contacting our Outreach Chair, Daniel Hu through our club email at:   . However, please note that if you are interested in participating, it will be necessary for you to obtain a Criminal Record Check (this is a standard procedure that can be done online, and then picked up from the Police Station on Division St).
