EVENTS TO COME!

1.  Weekly Discussion Group on Tuesdays

For the sake of simplicity, we host Discussion Groups every Tuesday in Kingston Hall, Room 308.  The discussions take place from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and are a great opportunity to practice your oral French skills and meet new people interested in French language and culture!

Topic-Specific Discussions:  Occasionally we host topic-specific discussions.  These topics may range from themes of current politics to economics and business to art history. Also, if you are interested in preparing a discussion on a topic of your choice and presenting it to the group, send us an email and we will set it up for you!

2.  3 Course French Meal on Wednesday, November 16th , 6pm,Location TBD

The French Club Chairs and Executives will be cooking our members an authentic three-course French dinner! Tickets are $10 and will be limited, so get them as soon as possible!  They will be sold in the Common Ground on Monday, November 14th, Tuesday, November 15th, and Wednesday, November 15th.

3.  High School Outreach

We have recently established a tutoring program with the KCVI high school. French Club members will come into the school over lunchtime to help students with their French!  This is a unique volunteering opportunity, for which more details will be provided to you directly by contacting our Outreach Chair, Cristiana Mergianian through our club email at: clubfrancophone.queens@gmail.com . However, please note that if you are interested in participating, it will be necessary for you to obtain a Criminal Record Check (this is a standard procedure that can be done online, and then picked up from the Police Station on Division St).
