Available Expert - Death toll increases as Iran protests continue

Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Queen’s University expert on the Middle East Houchang Hassan-Yari is available to comment on deadly protests that have been gripping the country since Thursday.

"The current situation in Iran is a clear departure from the past and total rejection of the Islamic Republic as Iran’s political system," says Dr. Hassan-Yari. “It is also a return to the nationalist aspirations of Iranians that has been suppressed since the 1979 revolution.”

Please note, Dr. Hassan-Yari (who speaks French, English and Farsi) wants to be identified in the media as an expert on the Middle East from Queen’s University and Royal Military College.
