Media Advisory - Queen's University and Bell Let's Talk host fifth annual anti-stigma event

Winnipeg, June 19 - Queen’s University and Bell Let’s Talk will host the fifth annual Breaking the Silence event aimed at raising awareness about mental health and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness featuring Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Research Chair Dr. Heather Stuart and mental health advocate Michael Redhead Champagne. TSN Radio 1290 host Rick Ralph will be the emcee for the event.

Dr. Stuart is an internationally recognized researcher who focuses on understanding the experience of stigma from the perspective of those directly affected by mental illness and their families. In January 2017, Bell Let’s Talk announced an additional $1 million to renew the Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-Stigma Research Chair for a second five-year term.
