Campus Electricity Demand Reduction notification: Wednesday, Aug. 2

In order to reduce electricity costs and contribute to the sustainability of the province’s energy system, Queen's University is once again participating in an electricity peak demand reduction program this summer.

As the provincial electricity demand remains high due to persisting temperatures and humidity levels, today (Wednesday, Aug. 2) will be our ninth Electricity Demand Reduction day of the summer. Tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 3) remains a potential reduction day; however, a separate notice will be issued tomorrow morning to either confirm or cancel the reduction. See attached bulletin for the reduction forecast for the balance of the week.
