With the revitalization of the John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC) nearing completion, the Alma Mater Society (AMS) hosted a special event in Wallace Hall on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

Principal Daniel Woolf, Provost Benoit-Antoine Bacon, AMS Vice-President (University Affairs) Carolyn Thompson and Mayor of Kingston Bryan Paterson took part in a panel discussion on student engagement and issues of interest shared by the Queen’s and Kingston communities.

The revitalization project began this spring and entailed three main goals: the renovation of the Upper and Lower Ceilidhs, where a walkway and skylight have been added; and Wallace Hall, where the floor has been refurbished, the walls re-stained and three large ceiling fans installed.
