The amazing research being done at Queen’s University is the focus of a new photo contest.

[Art of Research]Recently, the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research) launched the Art of Research Photo Contest, calling on all faculty, staff and students to showcase their research, scholarly and artistic work. The contest offers cash prizes (First – $300, Second – $200, Third – $100, Honourable Mention – $50) and the chance to be featured in (e)AFFECT, the Queen’s research magazine.

“The competition is aimed at providing a creative and accessible method of sharing and celebrating the ground-breaking research being done by members of the Queen’s community,” says Melinda Knox, the co-managing editor of (e)AFFECT. “The subject matter is only limited by imagination -- from capturing a moment under the microscope in the lab, inspiration in the archives or an activity out in the community.  We want people to think creatively.”

The contest is now open and all entries must be received by Oct. 10, 2015 at 4 p.m. Images must be accompanied by an entry form and can be submitted to research@queensu.ca .

Full details can be found on the website of the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research).
