Queen’s regrets to inform the community of the death of second-year student Rachel (Wei Yu) Zhang.

Rachel came to Queen’s from China and was studying Economics. She died as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Markham, Ont., on Nov. 18.

“On behalf of the Queen’s community, I offer my deepest sympathy to Rachel’s family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time,” says Daniel Woolf, Principal and Vice-Chancellor.

Flags will be lowered on campus in Rachel’s memory.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 4 at Queen’s University International Centre (QUIC). More details to follow.
