Queen’s University's winter holiday shutdown will commence on Monday, Dec. 26, with the return to work scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Information regarding the Christmas Closing Policy can be found on the Human Resources website.

In a continuing effort to conserve energy, all departments are asked to turn off office lights, close windows and doors, and set thermostats no lower than 18 C or 65 F. Information Technology Services (ITS) would also like to remind all staff and faculty to turn off your computers, laptops and work devices when leaving for the holiday break.

The Central Heating Plant will be staffed during the closure. As well, Campus Security and Emergency Services will remain fully staffed and operational 24/7 over the holiday period.

For urgent physical plant issues – for example, floods, broken windows or exterior door issues – during the closure, contact the Emergency Report Centre at 613-533-6080 (613-533-6111, Emergency) for immediate assistance.
