UPDATE: Ellis Hall fume hood shutdown Feb. 20-23

The fume hoods in labs Ellis 126A, 128 and 131 will also be impacted by the work referenced below. As a result, occupants are responsible to empty the affected fume hoods and to sign these as being out of order once inspected. These fume hoods should not be used until flows are verified by Environmental Health & Safety once the above scope of work is completed.

The fume hoods in labs  008B, 052, 038, 125 and 136 within Ellis Hall will be shut down from Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 8 am through end-of-day on Friday, Feb. 23 to permit a contractor to decommission the existing roof top exhaust fan and replace it with a new unit.

Civil Engineering is arranging for the affected fume hoods to be emptied by Wednesday, Feb. 14 in anticipation of this planned work and will sign these as being out of order once inspected. These fume hoods should not be used until flows are verified by Environmental Health & Safety once the above scope of work is completed.
