Dr. Nicholas Vlachopoulos Receives Award From RMC


Congratulations to cross-appointed professor, Dr. Nicholas Vlachopoulos, on receiving the Class of 1965 Teaching Excellence Award from Royal Military College of Canada (RMC).

The citation for the award is as follows:

"Dr. Nicholas Vlachopoulos, Cross-Appointed Professor to the Department from the Royal Military College (RMC), is the recipient of this Year’s Class of 1965 Teaching Excellence Award. The purpose of the Teaching Award at RMC is to recognize excellence in teaching and to promote good teaching throughout the University. Each year the students nominate a number of professors for the award. The prize is awarded to the winner in recognition of his/her “exemplary concern for students, dedication to teaching, enthusiasm in lecturing ”and his/her “ability to stimulate learning". Recipients of this Award are held in high esteem by both their students and their colleagues at RMC. The Award is presented at a public lecture to be given by the recipient every in the fall; This year the presentation will take place at RMC in Currie Hall on Monday, 29 October 2018 at 7:00 pm.  More information about the award can be found on the RMC website.
