Dr. Price Awarded Willet G. Miller Medal from Royal Society of Canada

Congratulations to Dr. Raymond A. Price, Emeritus Professor in Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering, who has been awarded the Willet G. Miller Medal in Earth Sciences from the Royal Society of Canada (RSC). The citation can be found on the Royal Society of Canada website

With this award, the Royal Society of Canada has celebrated an eminently honourable and visionary person, who has influenced so many of us.

Interestingly, the RSC medal is named in honour of Willet G. Miller, who was appointed to the Department of Geology, School of Mines in 1893, and the first person to teach Geology at Queen’s.  The university later honoured Willet G. Miller by bestowing his name on Miller Hall in 1931.

Dr. Price is also featured in the Queen's Gazette.

Congratulations Dr. Price!
