Grad Student Wins CGU Best Student Paper in Geodesy Award


Congratulations to MASc student, Katie Irwin on receiving the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU) Best Student Paper in Geodesy Award. Katie received the award for her research on 'Comparing Quad-Pol RADARSAT-2 and Single-Pol TerraSAR-X Data for Surface Water Monitoring' by Katie Irwin, Alexander Braun and Georgia Fotopoulos.

The award is one of six student awards presented annually by the CGU to recognize outstanding performance in scientific research and presentation by students. The award was presented at the CGU Annual Meeting in Vancouver, May 28-31, 2017.
