Brief Biography

I received my B.Sc (Honours) from Queen’s University in May 2018, with a major in Chemistry and a minor in geological sciences, during which time I had the opportunity to work in a number of research labs. My previous summer work had included both environmental analytical chemistry analyses and conversion of algae to bio-fuel, as well as stable isotope analyses of simple hydrocarbons on clay minerals as exploration tools for unconformity related uranium deposits.  Throughout my degree and my work, I became more interested in the applications of analytical chemistry (Mass Spectrometry, SEM, XRD, Electron Microprobe) to the geological sciences, leading me to pursue an M.Sc in Geochemistry; I am currently completing such under the supervision of Dr. Dan Layton-Matthews and Dr. Matthew Leybourne.
