Miller Museum in the News

The Miller Museum is receiving a great deal of coverage for its new pilot program "Beyond Classrooms".

The program, which commenced this week, sees a grade 4 class from Central Public School in the Limestone District School Board move its classroom into the Miller Museum of Geology for one week. Then in April a class from the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board will take over the museum for a week.

Vimy Ridge Luncheon

The Toronto Branch of the QUAA and Queen's MiniU present a special luncheon with Queen's professor Jean Hutchinson (Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering).

On April 23, hear how Dr. Hutchinson is using her geological expertise to stabilize the grounds of Vimy Ridge, the site of one of WWI's pivotal battles. Learn about rock engineering, First World War military strategy, and Canadian history directly from the Queen's expert who is ensuring that the Vimy Ridge Memorial Site is preserved for future generations.
