Research Interests

My main research interests are focused on the effects of mining on the environment. I am interested in using field, analytical, and GIS methods to investigate contamination, develop remediation and monitoring plans, and promote pro-active mining techniques that reduce environmental impact.

Brief Biography

I completed my bachelor of science, major in Earth Science and minor in Geography, at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I then completed the Advanced diploma in Water Quality program at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Newfoundland. During my time at university I had employment opportunities with the Geological Survey of Canada, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Environment Canada, Memorial University, and Altius Minerals. Before coming to Queens, I was working as an environmental consultant in Calgary.
