The German program offers several different Plans:

• The Minor in German Language and Literature
• Medial in German Language and Literature
• Major in German Language and Literature

In addition to these degree programmes, you can also take one or more courses at the appropriate level as electives. We shall be glad to advise you where you will best fit in.

We offer instruction in a language and culture that are central to present-day Europe as well as to European history. We can inform you of several different ways of going to spend time in Germany, either to work or to study, and we can offer you some limited financial support to that end.

The German program is known for its friendly atmosphere and its small class sizes. Extra-curricular activities include German Club, and there are always opportunities to take part in an informal German conversation group. There are normally German visitors on campus, and so this is a chance for you to make an interesting social contact.
