GNDS 801/3.0 Issues and Theories in Gender and Sexualities

This interdisciplinary seminar explores the development and application of contemporary theories in gender, women’s and feminist studies, as well as debates surrounding them. Discussions and readings will draw on both the social sciences and the humanities.

Required for GNDS MA candidates, the course will provide a comprehensive overview of women’s intellectual history, gender performance, feminist theory, and activism in relation to identity- difference (race, class, age, religion, location, (dis)ability) and transnational linkages.
