Sue Hendler Graduate Scholarship in Gender Studies
This award was established in July 2011 with a gift to the University from Mr. Mortimer Hendler, father of Sue Hendler. Sue, who died in 2009 after a brave battle with cancer, was Associate Professor in the School of Urban and Regional Planning and served as Head of the Department of Women's Studies for two terms. This award is granted to a full-time graduate student, based on academic excellence.
