Major, Medial and Minor Plans

Frequently Asked Questions       Enrollment Tips for Students in GNDS Plans

You may choose among four plans:

BA                       A three-year General plan
BA(Honours)     A four-year medial plan in Gender Studies and another discipline
BA(Honours)     A a four-year major plan
BA(Honours)     MJM - Major in other subject, minor in Gender Studies

In addition to students in our degree programs, many students from other disciplines take our courses because they find that they are a good way to gain a critical understanding of their own areas of study.

The Department also administers a study program leading to a Certificate in Sexual and Gender Diversity. This option is available to all students regardless of their degree concentration, and is intended for those students who wish to add a critical sexualities and gender diversity component to their degree program(s).

Please note that admission to Honours will not be run this year. Instead, access to fourth year courses will be controlled by appropriate prerequisites.
