Administrative Staff

Welcome to the Department of Gender Studies. My name is Terrie Easter Sheen and I’m the Administrative Assistant and Graduate Assistant. I’m one of the admin people you will meet upon your arrival to Gender Studies. We are located on the 5th floor in the south wing of Mackintosh-Corry Hall. I’ve been with Women's Studies since its inception and have worked with every Coordinator, Co-coordinator, Director and Head of Department. This means that I can hopefully help you with whatever you need. If for some reason I cannot, I’ll certainly be able to steer you in the right direction. After studying part-time (as a mature student) for many years, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. I have found that my experience as a student has helped me to better understand, and in turn, be of greater assistance to our students. When I’m not here in the Department, I’m probably spending time with my partner Betty, cooking for our friends and family and playing the guitar, the electric bass and singing, although not all at the same time. I look forward to meeting you soon in Gender Studies. Drop in some time to say hello.

Hello from the Main Office of the Department of Gender Studies. My name is Kathy Baer and I am the Undergraduate Assistant and Secretary and can be found in Mac-Corry D504. I can help you find a Gender Studies course to take, book you an appointment with our Undergraduate Chair, look for a book in our library or direct you to your Teaching Assistant's office. In my spare time I'm often playing flute, handbells or doing Tai Chi.
