About Us
The Grad Club moved to its current location in 1979 at the edge of Queen's University campus and we have been a mainstay of campus life ever since. Located in a Victorian-style three story home, the Grad Club has plenty to offer graduate students, faculty, staff, and the greater community beyond the academic realm.
QUEEN'S GRAD CLUB MEMBERSHIP
There are approximately 2,500 regular members derived from the four membership constituencies: All current students of the School of Graduate Studies, the MBA Program, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Law. Membership does not exclude others from the University community. Faculty, staff, and undergraduate students are encouraged to make use of the Club's facilities and services by becoming a Social Member. Application forms are available at the club.
You pay a small portion of your student fees to help operate the club, and in return you get membership previliges. Students who choose to opt out of their membership obviously lose these privileges, so think twice before you opt out of the Grad Club.
MEMBER SERVICES
The Club endeavours to add additional value for membership. Membership provides:10% discount on food items. Members can book (free of charge) individual rooms for tutorials or club meetings (or the entire facility) for special events. (subject to the established Club rules and pricing) Please note that events comprised primarily of non-members cannot simply ask one member to represent them - rental fees will still be charged. Due to health regulations, the Grad Club's kitchen facilities are not available for use by anyone at any time. No outside food or beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are permitted for the same reasons The Grad Club reserves the right to reject or revoke membership at any time. Beverage and catering services are available for all roombookings. Also, Club members receive a 10% discount on all food purchases.
