I graduated from Queen's in 1988 with a BA Honours in History, did my MA with Chad Gaffield at UOttawa by 1990 and went to live in Thailand for 10 years. During that time I instructed English at two major Thai universities (including Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok) and worked at the Canadian Embassy (CIDA officer, locally hired). I also worked for 4 years as the Director of the Canadian Education Centre Network. I moved back to Victoria, BC in 2000 with my two children and worked on contract with the Victoria School Board marketing international education as well as with other groups before working full time with Camosun College International. While at Camosun I earned a Certificate in Project Management from UBC. Currently I'm Associate Director, International Services for Students at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC and am loving living in Yaletown. I'm planning on enroling in SFU's EdD in Educational Leadership starting fall 2012, but in my spare time, I'm earning my sommelier certification.
