Dr. Tom Brydon, a member of the Department of History at McGill University, was tragically killed in a car accident along with his partner, Laura Nagy near White River, Ontario on Thursday, July 9, 2009.
Tom taught history 289, England since 1851, in the winter term of 2008 as an Adjunct Professor.
Even though he was only with our Department for a short period of time - he enriched the lives and learning experience for many students because of his contagious enthusiasm, energy and passion for the subject. And we are thankful for knowing him.
He was born in 1976 and was a recent Ph.D. Graduate from McGill University. He defended his thesis "Christ's Last Ante: Charles Booth, Church Charity and the Poor-but-Respectable", in December 2007.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends for their great loss.
