History Professor Ariel Salzmann Awarded Prestigious Fellowship
Professor Ariel Salzmann has received an interdisciplinary fellowship offered by the Koç University's Research Centre for Anatolian Civilizations in Istanbul, Turkey.
Dr. Salzmann will be spending the 2011 winter term exploring archival sources in Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Ottoman Turkish for a new book on Catholic-Ottoman relations in the eighteenth century. There are now three undergraduate exchange programs in English language universities in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey.
