Undergraduate wins Master's Scholarship at the University of St. Andrew's

Graeme Sutherland has been awarded the St. Andrew's Renaissance Post- graduate Studentship for 2010-2011.

Sutherland.jpg Graeme completed a Honours BA Major in History and Minor in Classical History at Queen's in Spring 2010. The St. Andrew's Renaissance scholarship will cover both tuition and living costs for the 12 month Master's programme. Graeme will pursue an M.Litt degree in Reformation Studies, a program which focuses on early modern Europe from the perspective of the study of religious ideas and practice. Graeme has a particular interest in folk tales and other folk-based historical sources and intends to explore this topic in the time of the Bubonic Plague in Italy. Graeme was also awarded an Ontario Graduate scholarship (OGS) and offered places in several graduate programmes in Canada.
