As one of several Queen's professors participating in the inaugural year of the Queen's-Blyth Worldwide program, Dr. Parker spent May 2012 in Barcelona, Madrid, and Bilbao, teaching a field class designed just for Spain. His course, HIST 396 Topics in History: Spain and Spanish America 1492-1992, is profiled along with other new and unorthodox courses in the Dean of Arts and Science's Annual Newsletter.
In 2013 Queen's-Blyth Worldwide plans to put on a revised version: HIST 330, Topics in History: Spain from Empire to Nation, 1492-1992. Next year, the Department is also hoping to offer courses in France, Italy, Greece, and China.
