About

I study the nineteenth century British Empire in Egypt and India. Specifically, I am interested in the mechanisms of imperial science and the formulation of colonial environmental policy. My dissertation, entitled "Engineering the Empire: Water Management and British Imperial Engineers," focuses on imperial irrigation science, water control, and governance in Egypt, 1882-1926.
