Canadian Labour and Social History
B.A. Honours, Queen's University, 2012
I recently graduated from Queen's with a B.A. Honours, Major in History and Minor in English Language and Literature. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I became particularly interested in Canadian history. In my fourth year, I wrote an undergraduate thesis on the 1937 labour strike in Oshawa by General Motors' workers, looking at the reasons behind why this strike was policed differently in comparison to other labour movements throughout Canada's history. I am excited to continue researching the history of Canadian labour and its implications on Canadian society through my Master's thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Peter Campbell.
When I'm not in class, the library or the archives, I can be found either: reading, swing dancing, baking, travelling, or a combination thereof.
