About

Lynsey is a graduate of the University of Toronto where she completed her B.A. (Honours) in History. Some of her more memorable undergrad papers include "Guilt in a Box: A Gendered Analysis of Cake Mix", "The Politics of Christmas at the International Institute of Metropolitan Toronto", and "Transgressive Sexuality in Weimar Film". During her last summer at U of T, she travelled and studied in Germany where she gained new insight into East and West Germany's divergent approaches to memory, identity, and urban representation.

She is currently completing her MA in History under the supervision of Dr. Brison, where she will be focusing on the gender politics of nation building. Her thesis will examine Expo '67, in particular, the Indians of Canada Pavilion. Her research interests include postwar social/cultural history, the history of sexuality/gender, critical race theory, post-Wende literature, global foodways, and all things Weimar.

She is currently the TA for HIST277 and HIST202.

She really misses Toronto.
