About

Jacob's research employs world history methodologies in the study of music in colonial and post-colonial contexts.Jacob focused on imperialism, the Atlantic world, and British cultural history during his undergraduate years with an interest in cross-cultural connections throughout.

Beyond academics, Jacob is a professional bagpiper and keen gardener. He is looking forward to continuing his studies at Queen's under the supervision of Dr. Amitava Chowdhury.
