BA/BEd Concurrent Education (History) J/I Honors, Nipissing University 2011
I recently graduated from Nipissing University from the Concurrent Education Program, where I received both a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in History and a Bachelor of Education in the Junior and Intermediate Divisions. Throughout my time at Nipissing, I took part in the Undergraduate Research Conference where I presented my research paper entitled: "Competing for Land: Understanding Treaty 9 and the Question of Land Title." In February 2011, I also had the opportunity to travel to Ecuador, where I took part in an International Teaching Practicum for 4 weeks.
My focus at Queens University for my Master's Degree is North American History with a central focus on Canadian land claims and environmental history issues. The professor who will be supervising my cognate essay will be Jamey Carson.
