North American Religious History
B.A. History and Religious Studies, University of Lethbridge, 2013
My main focus is the history of Protestant Christianity as it developed in North America in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This era is rich with the excitement of revivalism, doctrinal innovation, and radical claims and lifestyles – in other words, human beings searching for and finding meaning for their lives in new and dynamic ways. I am particularly interested in religious ideas: how they influence a person's actions, come into conflict with other ideas, and travel across international borders. I will be exploring these and similar themes under the supervision of Dr. Jane Errington.
Outside of academia, I enjoy family, music, travelling, and reading.
