About

Ryan was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, and moved to Kingston for his Masters in History. He is an Hons. B.A. graduate from the University of Toronto who graduated with a double major in History and Religion. He also studied at the University of Oxford in the summer semester of 2009.

His historical interests are primarily focused in Canadian military history, particularly concentrating on Canada's role in the First and Second World War. Ryan became enthralled by this topic based on its great importance and out of sheer interest and patriotism. His other historical interests include: Early Modern England, British Imperial history and Medieval England. His master's research involves the combative role of Canada in the First World War, and his is M.A. supervisor is Prof. Alan English.

Outside of school Ryan is an avid sports fan, enjoys the movies and likes to travel.
